Karl Johan or Karl Otto is one of the favorite mushrooms of the Mill & Mortar team because it imparts a wonderful earthy, autumnal and umami taste.
Ideal for risotto, pearl barley dishes and sauces. The Karl Johan mushroom is the obvious star in this refined concoction, supported by garlic, crushed parsley and chives.
The flowers were packed in a separate package to be sprinkled dry on the finished dish. Use about 2 tablespoons of KARL OTTO per 100 gm of risotto rice. Even a single tablespoon (approx. 10 gm) is equivalent to approx. 100 grams of fresh Karl Johan mushrooms and gives a rich and refined taste to your dishes.
Ingredients: dried Karl Johan mushrooms*, granulated garlic*, parsley*, black pepper*, blueberry petals*.
